I’ve spent the past few years in roles where my job was basically to make people’s problems go away, patiently, clearly, and without making them repeat themselves three times. Customer service, QA, operations, I’ve done a bit of all three, and what ties them together is that I actually care about getting the details right and writing things in a way people can just understand. Lately I’ve been building on that with project management training, learning how to manage bigger moving pieces without losing that same attention to the person on the other end of the email.
