Slow replies and half answered tickets cost more than they look like they do. Customers ask the same question twice because the first answer didn't actually solve anything, refunds sit untouched for days, and by the time an escalation reaches the right person, the customer has already left a bad review. I handle support from the moment a customer reaches out until the issue is actually closed and not just replied to. That includes billing questions, refund requests, order and account issues, technical troubleshooting, and the occasional angry customer who needs to be talked down before anything else can get solved. I know the difference between a ticket that needs a quick answer and one that needs to be escalated immediately, and I don't let the second kind sit in a queue. I've worked across Zendesk, Freshdesk, HubSpot, Intercom, and Gorgias, plus Slack and Google Workspace for internal coordination. I keep records clean enough that anyone on the team can pick up a conversation without asking the customer to repeat themselves. I also look at why tickets are repeating. If ten customers ask the same question in a week, that's not ten tickets, that's one gap in a macro, an FAQ, or a workflow. I've used automation tools like n8n, Zapier, and Make.com to route tickets, trigger follow ups, and cut down on the manual back and forth that eats up a support day. The goal isn't to replace real conversations with bots, but it's to stop wasting human time on the stuff that shouldn't need a human in the first place. If your queue is growing faster than your replies, or you're the one still checking tickets after hours because no one else catches the important ones, that's the part I'd be taking off your plate.
