Hi, I'm Inemesit Joy Akpan, and the thing people notice most about how I work is that I genuinely care about the person on the other side of the conversation, whether that's a customer, a client, or a student. As a Virtual Assistant & Customer Support Specialist, I supported international clients with scheduling, communication, and project coordination. But what I really brought was ownership, if a client brought me a problem, I saw it as mine to solve, not just pass along. I listened closely, followed through, and built strong working relationships across cultures and time zones by making sure people never felt like just a ticket number. That same instinct carries into my work as an Online ESL Teacher. I've delivered 2,000+ one-on-one lessons and built relationships with 50+ returning learners, people who came back because they felt safe making mistakes with me. I adapt to each learner's goals and pace rather than teaching from a script, and I consistently hear back that students feel supported, not judged. What I bring to any team is simple: I move people from where they are to where they want to be, and I make that journey feel supported, not transactional. Patient, friendly, professional, and genuinely invested in outcomes, that's who I am, and it's how I get results.
